The Demarte Group — A Legacy
Since 1955
The story of Demarte Group begins with a single vision and a steady pair of hands. In 1955, Sardar Jaimal Singh — a man of deep craft and quiet determination — laid the foundation of what would become one of Punjab's most respected business houses, starting with a modest stitching unit dedicated to men's garments. As the business earned trust, it grew. Recognising the vast and underserved demand for quality women's ethnic wear, the Group expanded into sarees and traditional garments, eventually giving birth to Demarte Silk & Sarees — a retail institution that today stands as the region's go-to destination for elegant ethnic fashion.
The founder's spirit of enterprise did not stop there. Decade by decade, the Group diversified with purpose. Demarte Industry Limited, a spinning mill, was established to vertically integrate the textile value chain. Aad Sach Creation brought manufacturing in-house, producing women's ethnic wear with craftsmanship at its core. Demaarte Reclaim Industries marked the Group's entry into sustainable industrial production, converting waste rubber into high-grade reclaimed material. And Demarte Colonisers extended the Group's reach into real estate, now developing over 17 thriving residential colony projects across Punjab.
Seven decades on, what Sardar Jaimal Singh began with needle and thread has grown into a five-pillar conglomerate — rooted in Punjab, built on integrity, and led forward by the next generation of visionary directors.
